Habits Seixal has quickly become one of my favorite spots on the south shore of Lisbon! The coffee is hands-down the best I’ve had in Portugal, pastries are always fresh and irresistible, and the breakfast Benedict is a must-try. The attention to detail in the design is on point — every corner feels thoughtfully curated and stylish. It’s clear they care about the customer experience from start to finish. The only thing I would tweak is the physical menu, which feels a bit out of step with the otherwise top-tier vibe. Still, this place is an absolute gem and well worth a visit!

A Fantastic Experience! We had an amazing experience at Habits. The service was incredibly personal and friendly, making us feel genuinely welcome. The food was outstanding—everything was super fresh and made with high-quality ingredients. I highly recommend the almond croissant and the salmon croissant; both were absolutely delicious and perfectly prepared. The café itself is also a great spot—modern, spacious, and with a cozy atmosphere that makes it perfect for enjoying a relaxing coffee or meal. Definitely a place worth visiting! This has become our regular place to spend some time during the day.

This is one of my favorite go to spots in Seixal. Not only is the food always top notch but the owners are fabulous people. The overall environment is a very welcoming space. I love the intentional ingredients used and home made baked goods too. I will definitely keep coming back!

Loved this place! The vibe is really nice—modern, cozy, and stylish. Perfect spot to relax, get some work done, or just enjoy a good coffee. The food was amazing! I had the avocado toast with poached eggs ( Ovos Benedict ), and it was super fresh and tasty. The coffee was rich and smooth, just how I like it. The staff were really kind and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Also, the outdoor seating is a nice touch if you want to sit outside and enjoy the view. Definitely coming back—highly recommend!

Definitely the best place in Seixal! The coffee is rich and aromatic, the matcha is absolutely delicious, and the main dishes are just fantastic — my personal favorites are the Mexican Mango Salsa Bowl and the Bife de Vazia! The pastries and desserts are out of this world! Special thanks to the owners and staff — they’re always smiling, cheerful, polite, and welcoming. They’re more than happy to explain the menu and offer great recommendations. I’m so glad this place opened up near our home — now we always have a spot where we can enjoy a lovely time, eat something delicious, and even take a box of treats to go :)

While walking around seixal, we fumbled upon this small bakery and cafe, it is right at the corner, with a view of river and open planes. One can miss it if not looking for it. Food was wonderful, vegan and non vegan, reasonably priced. Wonderful service. Although, the place had customers, but we were attended every time we waved. Service was quick and efficient. Order was correctly noted, a good thing for a newly opened place. If one is looking for western style coffee or food, this is a good place to try.

We woke up craving a slow morning and decided to go for brunch. A quick search led us to Habits, in Seixal — a spot praised by locals and travel guides alike. When we arrived, the place was buzzing — always a promising sign. We were greeted warmly and with effortless professionalism, and though we waited twenty minutes for a table, the energy of the room made time pass easily. The ambience is cozy yet vibrant, with a minimalist charm that feels both intentional and unpretentious. There’s something about Habits that transports you — a whisper of New York City café culture, where young creatives and digital nomads gather over laptops and lattes. The aroma of freshly ground coffee lingers in the air, while a counter lined with golden croissants, cakes, and glistening danishes tempts every passing glance. We ordered a hot chocolate with oat milk, eggs Benedict, fresh orange juice, a Danish, and a double espresso. The food was nothing short of exceptional. The hollandaise — the true test of any Benedict — was flawlessly balanced, silky, and rich without overpowering. The eggs were poached to perfection, their yolks spilling like sunshine. For a brief moment, I was in culinary paradise. I finished with the Danish and a perfectly pulled espresso — simple, divine, and deeply satisfying. Habits is a place worth crossing the bridge for. The food delights, the service shines with warmth and genuine care, and the whole experience feels both elevated and effortless. A place to return to — always.

I’ve been to this café several times now, and from my very first visit, I was welcomed like an old friend. The entire team is incredibly warm, attentive, and genuinely kind – it’s the kind of hospitality that stays with you. The food? Even better than it looks – and that’s saying something! Every dish is beautifully presented, full of flavor, and clearly made with care and high-quality ingredients. The ambiance is truly one of a kind.
